The American Inventor and scientist Thomas Alva Edison was born in Ohio (Feb. 11, 1847 – Oct. 18, 1931) and developed many devices that we consider important like the phonograph, the motion picture camera and the electric light bulb.
He grew up in Port Huron, Michigan and was the seventh child of Samuel Ogden Edison, Jr. and Nancy Matthews Elliott.
In school Edison's mind often wandered elsewhere and because of his problems with his teacher he had only three months of official schooling and got homeschooling by his mother after leaving school.
The following Video was filmed by Edison in 1899. The rider had a circus background.
