Your new electric Bicycle - How E Bikes work?
Have you bought a new electric Bicycle? Go for your first ride. Your bike has a battery-powered motor that will assist you while pedaling.
Switch the motor to lowest level. Normally you have three power levels. (1,2,3) Switch to number 1. See image below. The red switch is switched to 3 which is full power. Don't start like this!

Take a seat on your bike. Switch bicycle gear to level 1 to start slowly. Number 1 is for climbing steep hills. Normally you have around seven or eight gears. Switch to number 1.
See image below: The Red Button is for the motor to switch it On or Off. The motor is switched OFF now. Switch motor on first and then turn black handle to change to 1 gear.

Attention: If you have switched to a high gear (level 7) and start pedaling, the bike might jump forward unexpectedly and you might hit something, the garage door or something else, because you will be taken by surprise if it makes a big jump forward suddenly.
So after you have switched down to low gear level, start pedaling. You will feel the motor pushing. If you pedal stronger the motor will sense this and will give you more power and speed increases.
Now after you started properly you can switch to higher gear to increase speed. You can also switch motor now to number 2 or 3 to get more power while pedaling along.
Your speed will be at around 15-20 mph. If you like to save battery power and you are riding on flat road then switch off motor completely (to zero) or just to 1 to get low level assistance.
Once you get used to this great cruising feeling you will never want to ride a normal bike with no batteries again. Electric bicycles are addictive. Yep!
You can ride your electric bicycle without a driver's license, registration or insurance.
