Bicycle touring is an old activity, a form of cycling where you travel long distances. This requires endurance, discipline and fitness.

There are Tours available to benefit charities for a single day, where riders receive provisions along the route or you can participate in multi-day trips where you carry all equipment and food yourself.

Some extraordinary riders are leaving home to cycle round the world for years to come. Some never return back home.

The German Walter Stolle started from Essex on 25 January 1959 to cycle round the world riding through 159 countries in 18 years. He was robbed 231 times and had five bicycles stolen. (Wikipedia)
